about

Originally conceived as a solo piece where the band only enters at all near the end. Throughout playing "Nobody's Saviour" live in concerts, The Mod Villains gradually infiltrated Myke's performance to varying degrees. This recording gives the vibe that I hope you get when seeing us at a show!

lyrics

Here I am in the dark-- I'm rambling again
Just the moon in the night sky for a friend
Nobody's saviour but my own
Came here by myself and I'm leavin' alone

Came down to talk to you, you gave me the old excuse
Where your friends and your family just don't care
Have you the will to say, "I'm gonna leave today"?
When tomorrow comes knockin', will you be there?

Here I am in the dark-- I'm rambling again
Just the moon in the night sky for a friend
I'm nobody's saviour but my own
Came here by myself and I'm leavin' alone

They say that everyone loves a clown
It's just a smile upside down
But if you catch a trace of your mirrored face
All you'll see is a frown

Here I am in the dark-- I'm rambling again
Just the moon in the night sky for a friend
Nobody's saviour but my own
Came here by myself and I'm leavin' alone

(solo)

I make no promises to cure your loneliness
That's a will you'll discover deep inside
Grab on to what you've got-- and my friend that's quite a lot--
You've been running so long

Call me when you find that light!
