1.
I was wrong to make you cry All those tears were in your eyes I never stopped to wonder why I was wrong to make you cry I have lost my innocence And I ain't got no tenderness Left in these two lips of mine It's a shame I made you cry Do you ever think of me Back in the days that used to be? We'd hold each other tenderly But it was never meant to be I hope one day we'll meet again Down the line we'll still be friends After all these twists and turns and bends, I hope one day we meet again.

about

"The Wrong Man" has been in the Mod Villains/Myke Mazzei canon since 2008. Usually performed as a tongue-in-cheek tip o' the hat to Johnny Cash, this version evolved from a duo tour in June of 2011. In fact, the recording itself (guitar/banjo/guy vocals) was done live-to-2-track-recorder while on tour in New Brunswick. The 'studio' was a music room in a turn of the 20th century farmhouse in St. Martins, on an absolutely gorgeous summer's day. Perfect atmosphere for a heartstring puller!

Later, Toronto double-bassist Carlie Howell was overdubbed, adding her own vocal harmonies as a charming afterthought. All-in-all, we are proud of this recording, and song.
